History

The Rye Rangers began in 1972 playing out of the Rye Country Day School Gerald LaGrange Field House. We have expanded to also include Playland Ice Casino and Westchester Skating Academy as home ice rinks.

After many years playing in the Hudson Valley Hockey League at the Tier 3 level, the Rye Rangers were awarded Tier 2 status in 2021, with our top teams now playing out of the Long Island Hockey League. Many of our top teams now also play a partial schedule out of the Atlantic Hockey Federation.
