Hockey vs. Hunger

Saturday January 18 - Sunday February 2, 2025

To Benefit The Carver Center and Food2GrowOn, The Rye Rangers are continuing our annual tradition to take on an off-ice rival: Hunger. Each year many food drives take place around the holiday season and yet as we move into February, the demand remains but contributions drastically decrease. Fortunately, the hockey season is in full swing and we can help put a dent in hunger in the local area. During these designated Hockey vs. Hunger weeks, we ask that each time a Rye Ranger player comes down to the rink for a game or practice that they bring 1 or 2 items assigned below.  Collection box will be at Rye Country Day School. Over the past few seasons, we have packed the shelves at the Carver Center and fed school children in Port Chester with Food2GrownOn during this food drive. This year, let’s pack the shelves to the rafters!! All donations are welcomed.  Below is a listing provided by the Carver Center of most needed items, sorted by team so we cover all the bases.

Mite Jr Clinic – 1 lb box of rice or box of cereal
